I've just finished reading this book, and am still sniffling. Seriously, if I could have given it more than 5 stars I would have - I just couldn't put it down. It's a very, very powerful book about the blessings of friendships, the importance of prayer, and the joy of trusting God in all things. It made me laugh, it made me cry, but most of all it made me want to turn my life around and get closer to God - not just in words but in actions too - to rediscover the power of prayer.Fortunately I know that the rest of the series is just as wonderful :)Reread 2012: Still as wonderful as ever. Jodi's attitude towards beer does annoy me, but it's a minor nitpick in an otherwise terrific book. And fortunately I don't recall it reappearing in the later books.
