A 4.5 star review. It wasn't amazing, but it was pretty darn good!I read Across the Universe a couple of months ago and absolutely loved it. For some reason, when that happens I tend to be a bit reluctant to read the next book in the series for fear of being disappointed. Silly really, and in this case utterly pointless, because A Million Suns turned out to be every bit as good as the first book! I had assumed there would be fewer surprises for the reader in this one, but boy was I wrong! And I hadn't even guessed any of them in advance! Well done, Beth, well done. What really gets me about this series is how completely it stays with me. I keep thinking about it, even when I'm not currently reading it, and had to make sure to choose an entirely different book for my next read, or I wouldn't have been able to keep them apart. Talk about a book hangover! This series would be perfect for movie adaption. Everything is so vividly described that I already feel more like it's a movie I've watched than that it's a book I've read. Now to wait for the next (and final?) book in the series. It'll be out in the US on Jan 15th, but not in Europe until May 2nd. Will I be able to wait that long?
